“First rate cooking results and extreme durability is what make Woll pans stand out. That’s why 43 countries worldwide value the Woll branded cookware.”
VGM imports two ranges from Woll – Diamond Plus and Saphir Lite, which utilise the qualities of the two hardest minerals in the world, diamonds and sapphires respectively.
Consolidating squeeze cast technology with an infused mineral layer ensures a lightweight cookware range with unsurpassed heat transfer and control. In addition Woll cookware is the only cookware in the world that can handle temperatures up to 400°C!
Diamond Plus features a patented detachable handle system for easy transfer between cooktop and oven
as well as allowing for highly optimized storage in drawers and space saving in the dishwasher.
Saphir Lite features fixed handles – oven safe to 260°C.
THE WORLD’S Best NON-STICK COATING:
Woll uses a patented procedure to apply both the diamond and sapphire coatings. Using state of the art technology, the diamond or sapphire particles are blasted onto the surface of the cookware at 20,000°C, forming an extremely hard base layer which is impervious to cuts and scratches. This encrusted surface is harder and far more durable than the traditional titanium base layer used in most other premium cookware ranges. To this hard mineral base layer is added an anti-corrosive layer, then the prima and the final top coating that is infused again with diamond or sapphire crystals and baked in at 450°C. This ensures extremely heat resistant and abrasion resistant non-stick coating, unmatched by any other coating on the market. The entire coating application takes three hours and the pans travel through over 600 meters of ovens. Woll is so sure that their coating is the best in the world, that they back it with a limited lifetime guarantee.
Squeeze cast technology for lightweight handling:
Both Diamond Plus and Saphir Lite pans are “Squeeze Cast”. All existing “light weight” aluminium cookware is either pressure cast (die cast) or pressed from aluminium sheet. Both the above methods produce inferior cookware when compared with traditional gravity cast cookware, as they cannot guarantee even heat distribution. The method used by Woll to produce the lighter body is that once the pan has been gravity cast in the normal way, the molten aluminium in the mould is uniformly squeezed to thin out the profile. This “squeeze cast” process affords Woll cookware the unsurpassed cooking attributes of gravity cast, but with the lesser weight attributes of die-cast cookware.
